"Whitlock News" -- James McClamrock, an old and respected citizen of this county, died last Wednesday noon at his home six miles northwest of this city from heart disease after an illness of several weeks. Mr.cClamrock was 72 years old and had been married three times. He was the father of 14 children, four by his first wife, one by his second and 9 by his third. Four of his children are dead. He has livedon the farm where he died ever since a young man. He gave $2,000 to each of his children at their marriage. Three children are yet at home. The funeral was held on Thursday being conducted by Rev. Thomas Shanklin of Linden. Interment at Oak Hill Cemetry. - transcribed by kbz
